It's a great tragedy that Benazir Bhutto has been assassinated (on 27th Dec 2007). Pakistan struggles with extremism as nurtured and aided by U.S. on the one hand and with fundamentalism on the other. Developing nations can get rid of this scourge only by thwarting poison laced aids of countries like U.S. Unless developing nations free themselves from the clutches of such imperialist forces, possibility of real growth or development will remain a mirage. Real democracy can be brought only through really independent foreign policy and not with external aid from countries who have other motives.
